Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’ve dabbled in blogging for years, but usually lose interest after a couple weeks and always eventually shut down the site altogether. I have recently realized, however, how cathartic it is for me to write down my thoughts and share them with others, so here goes another shot!

You may be wondering where in the world I came up with the name of this blog. In short, the better part of the last decade of my life have been full of change — some changes were small while others were completely life-changing, and some were the result of conscious decisions made by myself or those close to me, and some were forced upon me by luck or fate or happenstance. It would have been easy at times to stay down and wallow, but I’ve decided instead to embrace the small joys in life. So, why “epsilon”?

In mathematics, ε (epsilon) is a symbol that typically represents an infinitesimally small positive quantity. I’ll refrain from going into any more detail than that (for now, at least), but when you see the word or symbol, just think “tiny positive important thing” and you’ll basically get the gist of what I was going for.** 

I hope you enjoy the photo of my sweet babies, Lenny and Mac, who are great at cuddling but not so great at blogging. I’m not entirely sure what this site will become or if it will last, but thanks for stopping by and giving it a chance!

** Confession: I also couldn’t (and saw no reason to) resist including a cheesy math reference in the name of this site 🙂
